10 -11 September - Morecambe Seaside Festival

Morecambe Town Council have joined forces with the city council to present a spectacular finale to the resort’s ‘Top 20’ programme.

On the Saturday, the arena stage will a host a show-case of live music performing throughout the day, and in the evening headliners ‘Re: Take That’(www.retakethat.com) take to the stage playing a professional tribute to the boy band pioneers.
Saturday night will finish with a fantastic fireworks display, launched from the Stone Jetty against the backdrop of Morecambe Bay.

On the Sunday the Red Arrows aerobatic team will make a welcome return to Morecambe’s Seaside Festival with their jaw-dropping display. The world-famous aeroplane stunt team are due to perform at 12noon and are joined in the skies with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Many of the Red Arrows’ pilots and support staff have recently returned from Afghanistan and Iraq. Whilst The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight pays tribute to the courage, achievement and sacrifice of all those who flew these aircraft during WW2.

Don`t miss Morecambe Bay Classic Bike Club's (MBCBC) Classic Bike Display in the Winter Gardens on the Sunday 11th September from 10am to about 5pm. Admission is free although donations to the Winter Garden Restoration Fund would be gratefully received.

Keeping the classic vehicle theme, The Bradford to Morecambe Vintage Car Rally will also be held on the promenade west of the Midland Hotel on Sunday 11 September.

This festival promises a weekend not to be missed!
